Depending on how adventurous you are feeling they are about 5 minutes through the dark and mysterious woods, or about 20 minutes by the longer route keeping to the roads. Although most people are happy to offer lifts if you advertise your need or offer them beer (or implant in their mind the idea that they might want the same take away as you and then ask if you can come along too)D3TH wrote:how far are the local takeaways

Plenty of us could give you a lift matey. And they're only about 15 mins away by foot.D3TH wrote:i will have a beer and any left over food lol

On the point of washing up btw - D3th and I seem quite happy to help clear up the frying pans and cooking utensils and such things (Green team will be doing lots of clearing up in the tournaments so will be dab hands at it ) but washing up all forty sets of plates and cutlery will not be left to one or two people. I'm sure each of us can manage to respect the facility and clear up after ourselves.

Mmmm Black Pudding

I'm sure we can arrange something amongst ourselves, do you fancy splitting an 8 pack of bacon, 6 eggs, a black pudding a pack of 6 sausages a tin of plum tomatoes and some mushrooms between us? ... it will probably work out to a couple of quid each, but would be the uber-LAN-breakfast-of-WIN ... BTW for anyone not wanting to participate or who can't be bother to cook there is a greasy spoon in the village which does a decent line in breakfasts
