Audio Surf Tournment

Post by D3TH »

Yes you read right..... i think a small tournment for audiosurf should take place at LlamaLAN?

just a idea.. great game for the non FPS lovers, can pretty easy to arrange.

Everyone picks a song with game type and level on it. Places into a hat (container)

The fixtures are drawn up.......... a Admin or someone picks a song (randomly) for each fixture, each person gets 2 goes.. person with the highest score wins that fixture.

We can do double Elimination or single.... we use the same system for the final aswell......

Again a idea.. which i think could be fun.... and easy to set up..... hell we can have just 2 main PC's running the event........

BTW i didn't mentioned that i don't mind setting this up at all if admins can't be asked

also i was thinking... if you don't want a tourny thing running that takes time.. we can have a Llama LAN leader bored, we get one song decided by the the public, weekends song.. person with highest score wins... (Screenshot or it didn't happen)

I have to admit, I like the idea. and it would certainly be different from the usual games we tend to play :)

I think this would be something that could be done on the Saturday night (assuming we have the space/time etc). Also possible to do it on the big screen, maybe try it with an XBOX controller or similar?

just a couple of extra thoughts for ya. thanks for the suggestion :)

thanks for the support..

TBH i prefer the Tourny single elimination instead of the leader bored. On the big screen would be so much fun........ like i mentioned this can be done.... it only for fun.. if we have it on the big screen then everyone can take part,, winner gets beer or something small like that, nothing major.

just beats FPS once lol :P

after thinking about this.. maybe a leader board isn't such a bad idea.

Before the LAN we can have some Public Polls on the forums of songs.. from different genre of music (rock, dance etc)

I guess you can say these are ladders... a rock ladder a dance ladder pop ladder etc etc....

At the end of the night we can see who is top of the ladders,,, we got winners

I say so everyone can be involved we make it easy mode... but any type of easy mode.. so either mono or the color thingy person (mono more points)

We just write the score on paper......... simple.. get as many goes as you want that night.. so if someone beats you, you can try beat there score... hence the competition can get "wild" lol

I think honestly this would be great for the projector.... just getting a spare PC to play Audio Surf on to plug into the projector.

For picking a song? well we open a thread up on forums.. ask for suggestions, admins break down the suggestions into polls so maybe 5 choices for rock and 5 choices for dance etc etc,, we do a offical poll winner of it get chosen for its ladder... i think this can be the offical Audio Surf Tourny lol

I know i need a job.. got way to much time on me atm

assuming the projector is free, then yes on the big screen.

as for speakers, I'm sure we can rustle something up :)

Hey boss, PM me a track list if you like, and I'll go downloading.
