Following the huge success at LlamaLAN 9 of the 16 player Double Elimination Tournament support by Crucial we have decided to run a similar event again.
Using the Games List for the event as guidance we have identified that 'Unreal Tournament 2004' is still a very popular choice with about half of the paid up participants voting for it ... however ... we would like to know if we should go with this choice or use the free and fun alternative 'Warsow' which theoretically is available to everyone.
So, we are asking for opinions ...
"Which game would you prefer to play in a tournament at LlamaLAN 10?"
Unreal Tournament 2004
Warsow

Can UT3 Be Added to this vote as it has the same number in the current game list.
Also as much as I love my shooters it would be nice to have some kind of tourney for another genre of game.

Re: LlamaLAN 10 - Single Player Tournament
A fair point well made, let me address them individually.
This poll was designed simply to determine if the most popular single person game, Unreal Tournament 2004, (by preference rating (no longer visible on the list but taken into account in the ranking) as well as by number) would still be preferred by the majority of participants and potential participants in the face of a free alternative which had been quite popular at the last event. In an attempt not to dilute the results I made an executive decision not to include Unreal Tournament 3. The other reason being that if similar people attended to last time then I felt that a sixteen player tournament would once again be feasible. Not the most scientific method of selection, I know, but sometimes a subjective choice must be made and I am ultimately responsible for this one.
The second point about game types, we would happily choose a different game type if it had anything close to the level of popular support then we would consider it as much as any other game. Whilst Command and Conquer 3 and Dawn of War are getting more popular they aren't quite there yet. If you want to arrange some games on the Sunday when people are winding down and have some more time then we would be happy to support your efforts in any way we can, but at this event we have made the conscious choice to concentrate our efforts on two main tournaments and leave the remainder of the time to your own devices.

Guess i have to defend the UT2K4 title.
But I prefer Warsow as it's Q3A physics/engine based!
Tough decision!

Right, well that pretty much is easy, so the 1v1 will be UT2k4
Re: LlamaLAN 10 - Single Player Tournament
gah!
No doubt there will be some quake3 and warsow gaming, like last time. I forgot the Mac players name (Izzard?), was a very good adversary on q3a.
