Stronghold, Crusader

Post by Joosebug »

personally Crusaders better due to the alliances and trading u can do and wierd banter :D

awesome game, just wondered if the name strikes anyone.

castle building sim rts type kill the enemy lord game where u attain peasants that come to ur castle u give them jobs in ur castle, manage ur economy, ur production of weapons, food and materials and then wage war, defend ur keep and build an awesome castle.
its an old classic
first coming out in 03 i believe :P

fancy a game anyone? if u can find this game anywhere ive seen it as low as like 2 pounds lawl, otherwise the nets a bit expensive :( .
i lawl, max players is 8 though , we could mess around with computers also, on Stronghold Crusader u can add computer lords who are pretty funny, whimsical, annoying and attack in repetitive waves, still there good for comp stomps :P

somone please reply ^.^

I do like real time strategies. I started on the great grandad of the RTS - Dune II. Worked through CnC 1 and 2, Starcraft (one of the best), Civ II and the original Warcraft. And the idea of building castles off the backs of peasants somehow appeals. ;)

I have reduced time to play these days. :( Still, I would be interested in having a go if I get a chance and somehow bring myself to splash out on the game. :D

The biggest problem with stronghold is that even the biggest maps are barely big enough for two fuck-off great castles (let alone 8) and the less said about the 'extreme' version, the better.
