Tournment Details

Post by D3TH »

Just asking about when the tournament details re going to be done. Just thought maybe you want some opinions from the Lanners about the TF2 tourny and COD4 tourny.

Plus i wanted a link for that bonus patch thingy for UT2004, just got my game so wanted to patch it up with the latest maps and stuff.

Did you get the anthology? Played Unreal 2 yet? I bloomin loved this game (in a plutonic sense).

While I did enjoy Unreal 2, I was not a fan of Unreal Tournament games at all, in the slightest. What turned it for me was playing UT2004 CTF at LlamaLAN 8. Since then I've rather enjoyed even straight forward UT2K4 DM, but I've still never played it outside of the LlamaLAN events. ;)

IMO UT Original is still the greatest of the UT series, but UT3 is a close second, has got back to that good mix of manic fragger with a little bit of tactics thrown in.

From MajorGeeks so should be legit:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Unreal_Tourna ... d4178.html

or:

Open Notepad and paste this :
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004]
"CDKey"="XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
"ADMIN_RIGHTS"="You need to run this program as an administrator, not as a guest or limited user account."
"NO_DISC"="No disc in drive. Please insert the disc labeled 'Unreal Tournament 2004 Play Disc' to continue."
"NO_DRIVE"="No CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive detected."
"TITLEBAR"="Unreal Tournament 2004"
"WRONG_DISC"="Wrong disc in drive. Please insert the disc labeled 'Unreal Tournament 2004 Play Disc' to continue."
"YEAR"="2004"
"Folder"="X:\\...\\UT2004"
Now replace XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with your real CDKey. Next replace X:\\...\\UT2004 with your game folder name but make sure you use ' \\ ' and not just ' \ '. (something like C:\\Games\\UT2004).
Now save the file as somename.reg ( the name is not important but it must be a .reg file. Next double click it and click OK. Try playing the game again.

Having a team whom you know, and having them on voice comms and playing together is a vastly superior experience (as it is with most team games) to playing on publics.
