Ragnor ... payment at LAN is just fine
Re: Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands four packs
As it turns out, I've managed to find a fourth elsewhere in meanwhilst now, so can wipe off borderlands group B I guess, as none of it actually happened here, heh.

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands four packs
Excellent, glad that it's worked out for everyone
Re: Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands four packs
I've been trying to preload Borderlands for days but the server is always too busy. The reason I post now is because after a Steam update, the game disappeared from my uninstalled list. Then it came back. Now it's gone again. This happening to anyone else?

Mine is all pre-loaded up already Golem lad.
What you can do is right click it when you get the chance and choose to pre-load it like that, brings up a little box that seems to ramrod it into pre-loading with no pauses or stuff!

Hm, that is what I'm doing, when it's in my list. But it's not always in my list. I've found that if I disable local caching, ask to go into offline mode, re-enter my crudentials as a result, and CANCEL going into offline mode, Borderlands suddenly reappears in my uninstalled list...Andy wrote:Mine is all pre-loaded up already Golem lad.

OK that's really weird, have you tried the universal fix-all of deleting your clientregistry.blob already... if so... then blarrrgh, my mind is melting!Golem wrote:Hm, that is what I'm doing, when it's in my list. I did, and actually did a full deinstall reinstall. No difference, frustratingly! L4D2 Demo preloaded just fine. I've tried changing my download region to a number of countries across the world with no difference... it looks increasingly certain I won't be enjoying Borderlands at the LAN!
I'm posting in Steam support about it so maybe someone will have a bright idea soon.

For all those that Borderlands pre-ordered through steam:

As we have limited internet access at the lan and a further 30/40meg needs downloading (for security) after the game is 'released' you may want to put off packing everything up till the 11th hour so you get a chance to do a final update (after 12pm tomorrow) before heading out.

long as someone has a set of all the files though it should be fine.
looks like there's gonna be a tf2 update tonight to throw a spanner in works too..

I'll be leaving mine up to unlock and download anything last minute and I'll make my "steamapps" folder available, then theoretically all it needs is to copy over some files and then authenticate them against your account instead of mine.
Is anyone bringing a working DC hub as that'll be the easiest way to ensure that people can distribute them easily?

OK, well this has run it's course, I think everyone has paid the appropriate people and received the games, so you might as well close the thread and drop it from being a global sticky.
