theres nothing to stop you guys organising one yourselves, though ?
if we're talking half a dozen players, it'd not be hard, and you (or we, depending on what you want to play), could fit it around the 'Main' games.

I'd be up for DoW (pref. Dark Crusade, as SoulStorm didn't add anything worth having imo), with the default Victory options (map control and Crit locations, as well as wipe out your enemy) or Assassination type game

I wanna make a HUGE map for Dow, for people to play under tourney conditions.

Mass armies duking it out and such like.

Need an up to date DoW toolkit though, and it's not out yet.

one question: will the cod4 be normal i.e Not Hardcore, and will there be any rule set shit like pam4 mod?

COD4 will not be hardcore, there will be NO mods. I got enough to do getting a simple dedicated server running, let alone screwing with it ;)

Or alternatively the other option available would be to have the single player tourney on the friday night, and then two team based tourneys on the sat. I really hope you dont think im criticising at all but at 9 the single player event went on for a long time and there were quickly very few people involved in it, where as the team based events involve the majority of the lan.
although a lot of people were knocked out of the 1v1 tourney quite quickly, there were still not enough players accross ALL teams for any kind of organised team game. As has been stated, this is the problem with the team games, the size of the teams plus the actualy numbers who want to take part (50-75% if we are lucky) means a theoretical maximum of 6v6 games, assuming that the players are present and not sleeping/getting food/wathcing the footy down the pub.

I was more suggesting that the single player tourney could be on the friday. to free up the saturday.

Do we have to keep repeating ourselves? There are not enough people in attendance on the Friday to make it worthwhile running Tournaments/big games.

I thought only a very small number of people were just there for the Saturday (me included) how many of the 16 entrants in the single player tournament were not there on the Friday maybe if there was an event with a big prize (like there is for the sp tourney more people will be there and up for a game on the friday.

We have our answer to the original suggestion. ;)

The hall is always at its biggest capacity on the Saturday. We tried a Half Life DM session on Friday and it didn't work because we needed a balance of players on each side. People weren't able to take part, disappearing for dinners or had not yet arrived. So, we've learned that games requiring team balance don't work on Friday nights. Just have some fun on whatever game you like! ;)

Lads and ladies, this is all about the majority votes! The games list is our first indication of who wants to play what. CD's forum polls come next - and we go with what most people want. It's all for fun, remember, and we don't exclude anyone from play any other game. We're working out when the optimum times are based on our previous LlamaLANs. So stop worrying about it!

When the major events have been decided on, rules and such things will be announced in advance.

To stop this getting out of hand, the thread is now locked.
