We're glad you enjoyed itRipper wrote:Well i just thought id add my 2 cents it was a great lan totally awsome i like some of the suggestions and ideas comming out for the next lan.
It's as large as we can get away with in this venue, we would mind a little larger, but under 50 people means that everyone can actually know every community member there, much larger than 50 and memories can get a little fuzzy.Ripper wrote:I like the size
Up until now, we've deliberately avoided having an Internet connection because it can dilute a small LAN, if we trial it at LlamaLAN 11 it will be strictly for a small number of Instant Messaging protocols, e-Mail, and emergency Steam authentication, not even general web accessRipper wrote:and really an internet connection isnt required, we are there to play games not mess around on the web. saying that tho patches etc might be needed so maybe a connection, but usually someone has them
Already in hand, we realise that this was an issue and are addressing itRipper wrote:A little more co-ordination when it comes to starting the games would be great
An oversight on our part which will be sorted out for next eventRipper wrote:maybe get some more voice servers up on the next lan i had my teamspeak server up but i think one for each team on the server would deff be better
Most ExcellentRipper wrote:... cant really find much fault with it at all was totally sweet...
It happens, it is regrettable, but we've managed to run 9 previous events before it happened and so we're happy with our track recordRipper wrote:pitty about that one guy getting sick but well handeld guys... and i think the one chance policy is cool next tourney he should be dry... but i wasnt really there when it all went down so.... and to be honest these things happen im sure it wont happen all that often...
Sleep is a valuable commodity at any LAN, this is why we have the separate space for camping and sleeping, away from the gaming area. Maybe we should prod people at about 3AM and suggest a rest is in orderRipper wrote:Im sorry about the delays i caused in ut but i was suffering from total lack of sleep and needed a good kip.
I watched over the shoulder of some matches, they were pretty intenseRipper wrote:The 1v1 competition was fierce yaz + dezz kudos to them for the rocking games.
Congratulations and enjoy the spoils of warRipper wrote:im totally stoked about winning (YAY!!!!!!) and sweet prizes
We'll get the photos up as soon as possible, but we're having teething problems with the Gallery upload features so it may take a little longer, keep checking back.Ripper wrote:hopefully u can get those pics up soon and yaz said he would hook up those games he recorded so yea was awsome guys keep it up. 10 out of 10
