Ok well i got this idea after talking to Joosebug

i think we should do this... you see at LAN some people my pryimids and all that type of stuff from there used jolt cans or in our case mostly beer.

Well i was thinking a LAN one.... like anyone who uses some type of metal can doesn't through it away.. we just add on to the pyramid.. making it bigger and bigger....

i know it is stupid but atleast we can all say "we made a huge can pyramid!!!"

Afterwards we can crush it all up, put it in bags and someone could kindly take it to the recycling center or something... so we know the cans have gone to use!

it just a idea in me head so you flame all you want!

We do try and encourage recycling ... and if we can make it fun then so much the better ... assuming that it in no way compromises the safety of the punter and their equipment then I can't see any particular problem, but I'll wait to see what the other organisers feel.

Remember that we are actively (including naming and shaming) encouraging the punters to take as much of their rubbish home with them when they leave since we cannot leave any rubbish behind, last event this made a huge difference, although if a couple more people had made the effort then it would have saved KF an entire return trip to pick up the last few bags.

I don't see a major issue with it, except the fact that someone will have to take responsibilty for clearing it up and recycling it before the end of Sunday

well if i am driving by then i do not mind taking it to the local recycling centre.............. i am going to make a mini one for myself if all fails

to be honest... with like 2/3 guys... if we crush the cans then we will be saving bags and it wouldn't take long......10 mins top

it ain't to encourage people to drink more....it would also be nice to see how much there is at the end of the night.

We need to bring a massive great mallet to crush them top down one at a time!

right then, consider the plan added to the event

we have:

• Deths Big pile o'cans
• Golems Mallet

Deth, you are responsible for ensuring all the cans are crushed and in bags to be taken home at the end of the event. We shall work the bags of cans into the 1 bag per person scheme, to try and reduce the burden on us poor admins...

I know we are using beer cans.... not everyone is going to have different cans so we can make some sort of design out of it

I was thinking in the corner where i was but........ if i remember rightly there is a fire exit there... which i guess is a big no no

I'm sure we can find somewhere for you to "work"
