prehaps useful. Its a tool for giving the wattage under load (probably so they can sell you a power supply), I will get around to filling it in soon!

Edit: Prehaps according to this, I got 262W, but I guess that means less than 300w

I run a 550/600w PSU, can't remember exactly.
And a 20" Samsung Flatscreen.

Under load mine drew 1.48A, so call it 1.5A for a small margin of error, which translates to 360W including a 24" widescreen monitor.

Antec nine hundred case.
Core2Quad Q6600 usually clocked to 3.0 Ghz, sometimes 3.4 depending on how adventurous I'm feeling.
2 x nV 8800 GTS 512Mb versions in SLi.
A single 500mb HDD.
4Gb ddr2 running at 5/5/5/15 (I think) on 2.1v.
The ancient Audigy 2 sfx card.
And a 24 inch samsung flat.

So quite likely a tad more in amps; I doubt over 2 under load.

Nice link Roundup - it even allows for overclocking options. The PSU calculator suggests 446W for this rig of mine, 457W if the CPU is at 3.4. While I actually have an 850W PSU, I guess the actual power usage is what matters. That means, if the site is accurate, I could be looking at between 1.8 and 1.9 amps when the CPU is running at 3Ghz (and I don't intend to increase that at the LAN).

Maybe I can nab one of those power meters from KF at some point and give a true accurate reading.

Doesn't mean your PSU is wasting its time dude. The wattage of a PSU is rarely the maximum it can actually provide and remain stable - and that 338w your system allegedly uses will mostly (but not entirely) be relying on the one or more 12v rails. The 700w your PSU is rated at combines the wattage provided by the 12v, 5v and 3.3.v rails.

prehaps "just because it can dosen't mean it will"
and having PSU that runs at exactly your requitement will be far less stable, so good to have a buffer.

at a quick check.. my maximum could be 350 watts, taking the full power supply ratings.
90w laptop
55w monitor
205w 360.
Maybe another 10w for usb hubs and such.

And further to agree, its best to have a good bit of headroom on PSU, for reasons as stated by everyone else.

Cant be 100% ofcourse but based on my psu including my monitor id guesstimate at about 450-500w
I wont dual screen this time to be nice. More upsetting is no BEER FRIDGE

Such things as beer fridges may well be possible, just not sharing the plugs from where the PC hardware is powered. Perhaps there is capacity in the kitchen for additional fridge units for beer space - and we all know beer space is very important.
